Talking Points

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

Learning is a life long process and a process not easily avoided. If your living your learning. Whether through official and professional education of public or private elementary schools, high schools, or college or the University of Life education and learning are vital to vitality.

Learning new things opens up a new world and somehow we are never the same when we learn a new life lesson or new philosophy. Learning new things and trying new things keeps a person young and engaged in life.

You know that really excited feeling you get when you try something new. You usually can't wait to tell other people about what you are doing. If you haven't felt that in a while, now is the time this is your year to expand your horizons.

Decide to run a marathon, okay a little ambitious for some. Take a cake decorating class, now that sounds fun and delicious. Try water skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, wake boarding. Take a writing class, learn a new language, or take piano lessons (something I just began a few months ago and I love it).

Make a commitment to find and try something new for 2012 and get yourself a new talking point in your life. Let me know how it goes.

I have posted some links below on places you can go to learn something new:

UVU's Community Classes

BYU's Community Classes

Piano Lessons

Ski Lessons (so many great resorts in Utah to choose from).

If any of you have any other ideas and you have a link you would like to share send it my way or post it in the comment section.
